Imani B. is a multidisciplinary Philadelphia-based, content creator experienced in social media strategy and curation with a growing audience and presence across social media platforms. This creation space is witty, vulnerable, and transparent, but most importantly a blogging blk girl.
Imani attended Saint Joseph’s University (SJU) where she obtained a BA in Communications with Distinctions in PR, Digital Media, and Marketing and holds a Media Literacy Certificate of Completion from Media Literacy Now.
When she first set out to create her blog in 2013, it was just seen as a project and platform to speak her personal truths. However, over the years, her identity as an AA woman often inspired and influenced her curation design development – thus her potential and reach became so much more. Her writing has taken on a deeper shared sense of belonging, encapsulating topics of lifestyle, fashion, events, natural hair and makeup. Her writing has been featured in The Hawk and Sister Namibia and she has been recruited as a guest speaker for the SJU International Career Conference and SJU’s Women Leadership Initiative Professional Development Day.
Since it’s rebranding, Blogging Blk Girl has maintained its status as a micro-influencer for national natural hair companies, college and university entities, and personal brands.
With all that said, cheers to living brilliantly, always learning, trying, failing, dreaming big, enjoying the small stuff, and above all else … blogging blk girls.
